Nomination details

Who can nominate

Anyone 18 or over living in Craig Henry, Manordale-Woodvale, Trend-Arlington or the streets around them. Please nominate a neighbour rather than yourself, and just one person each, so everyone gets a fair hearing.

How I choose

I read every nomination myself. The ten are chosen on the strength of the stories rather than at random, and once I have decided, that is that.

What they get

An apple crumble from FRANKS on Greenbank Road, worth about $17. Ten in total, one each. It is a crumble, so there is no cash alternative and no swapping it for something else.

Timing

Nominations close Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. I cannot count anything that lands after that. I will deliver the crumbles myself in the days before Thanksgiving on Monday, October 12.

Nothing to buy

There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for. You do not need to be a client, and nominating someone will not put you on a call list.

Privacy

I will only use your name and email to reach you about this nomination. Your neighbour’s name and street are just so I can find their door. Your story stays between us unless you tick the box above to share it. Nothing goes on a mailing list, and nothing is passed along to anyone else.

I’m Jacob Karam, a Sales Representative with Engel & Völkers Ottawa, and Kindred Home reflects the principles that guide my approach to real estate. Born and raised in Ottawa, I have the privilege of sharing my local knowledge and real estate expertise while helping buyers and sellers make their move throughout the city, its surrounding towns and rural communities.
